Philippe Bérard

In the 1960s and 1970s, Philippe Bérard attended bilingual English-Spanish elementary and middle schools in Buenos Aires, Argentina, returning home each afternoon to speak only French with this parents and sister. His high school was taught in Spanish only. After high school, Philippe went on to graduate from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires, and then from the Catholic University of Salta with a degree in Veterinary Education. He received a Certificate in Forensic Toxicology from Florida State University, a Certificate in Laboratory Animal Medicine from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, and a Master of Science degree in Toxicology from Sevilla Chemistry College in Spain. He worked as a veterinarian in Argentina, New York State, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, where he worked primarily with veterinary toxicology. He is currently retired and lives with his wife in Albuquerque.
