Olivia Flores
Olivia Flores is a dynamic educator with over a decade of experience. Originally from Chicago, she attended Depauw University in Indiana, which included a semester abroad in Argentina. After graduating from Depauw, she returned to Chicago with Teach For America, where she taught students on the city’s South Side, many of whose immigration stories reminded her of her dad’s. After spending two years as a Fulbright scholar in Colombia, it was the Green Fellowship that ultimately brought Olivia to Kansas City, Missouri. There, she founded the Kauffman School’s AP Literature and Composition course, then began championing the region's first 7th-to-12th-grade secondary dual-language Spanish immersion program. Olivia is a co-founder of the Midwest Dual Language Leadership Fellowship. She currently serves as the Dual Language Specialist for Paseo Academy High School's Dual Language Program, which graduated its first senior class in spring 2026.
