Stephanie Zarrasola
Stephanie Zarrasola is a bilingual dentist in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She attended 2nd through 5th grades in a Spanish-English, dual-language program Albuquerque. There existing no dual-language program in middle school, she decided the school's program for gifted students would be the next best thing. In high school, she took AP courses, ultimately graduating with honors. She received a BA in Anthropology from McAlester College in St. Paul, MN, where she also minored in Biology and Art Studio. She received her DDS from the Dental School at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Due to the fact that none of her academic experiences prior to dental school included courses taught in Spanish, she spent extra time with other Spanish-speaking dental students learning dental terminology in Spanish on their own. She currently practices dentistry in Albuquerque, where she lives with her husband Alonso, a rollercoaster builder, and their daughter, Annel.
